How to make a WhatsApp QR code
- Enter your WhatsApp number in international format: country code first, without the leading zero of the local number (Pakistan: +92 300…, UK: +44 7700…, India: +91 98…).
- Optionally write the first message, such as “Hi, I'd like to book a table” or “I need help with order #”. The customer can edit it before sending.
- Download the code and print it, or add it to your website and social media posts.
How it works
The QR code contains an official WhatsApp “click to chat” link (https://wa.me/number?text=message). When it is scanned, WhatsApp opens directly on the phone, or WhatsApp Web on a computer, with a chat to your number and your message ready. The customer does not need to save your number first, and you do not need WhatsApp Business, although it works perfectly with it.

Your number and message are turned into a QR code inside your browser; HAYAQR never receives or stores them. Remember that anyone who scans a printed code will see your number, so use a business number for public posters.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need WhatsApp Business?
No. The code works with both regular WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business accounts.
What if the person scanning does not have WhatsApp?
The link opens a WhatsApp web page that invites them to install the app or use WhatsApp Web.
Why does the chat open with the wrong number?
Usually the country code is missing or a leading zero was left in. Enter the number as +countrycode followed by the number without its first 0.
Does the message send automatically?
No. WhatsApp opens with the text ready, and the customer decides whether to edit and send it.
Can I use emoji in the message?
Yes. Emoji and any language, including Urdu, Arabic and Hindi, are supported.
